Miami and South Florida Horse Shows

Heritage Horse Shows are held at the Plantation Equestrian Center in Plantation, FL and feature horse jumping and dressage plus cash prizes.

The Parkland Horseman Association holds numerous horse shows including dressage, obstacle, and introductory Hunter/Jumper at the Parkland Equestrian Center in Parkland, FL

The South Florida Horse Show Association features horse shows at the Tropical Park Equestrian Center in Miami.

With an organization over 50 years old, the South Florida Hunter Jumper Association is still going strong. Perhaps the association is known best for its FHJA Charity Show held each year in Wellington at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.

South Florida Barrel Racing

South Florida Rodeos

There is nothing like a rodeo to get your heart pounding and your voice horse, watch real cowboys and cowgirls test themselves against horse, bulls, and calves. The annual Homestead Championship Rodeo, held in January each year, is one of the oldest in the nation and the only Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) rodeo held in Dade County. Further north in Broward County, the Davie Pro Rodeo holds court several times a year including the Southeastern Circuit Finals Rodeo each November.

Horse Racing at Gulfstream Park

One of the few live horse racing venues remaining in Florida, Gulfstream Park's season runs from December until March where the season is caped off with the Florida Derby. The Florida Derby is an important test for the Kentucky Derby and many of the top contenders for that classic race will compete here.
